Anabel von Jackowski

Anabel focuses on the interaction between organic matter and microorganisms. Her research, as of recently, focuses on methane-oxidizing bacteria in the Arctic Ocean at Stockholm University. Anabel is a BioGeoScapes Fellow and an MSCA Postdoctoral Fellow.

Additionally, Anabel is part of the coordination unit of the Early-Career Ocean Professionals BlueCaD Project, co-hosts the Wellenbrecher podcast, and co-chairs the GRS Marine Microbes in 2026.
